Change to another Google Home

I have two Nest thermostats, both under the same Google Home.  I want to change one to the correct Google Home.  Is there a way to do that without deleting and re-adding?  I also have a Yale Lock that will need to be changed...

Hello thiedebonniej,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.

Moving to another Home structure in the Nest app or in the Google Home app for any Nest Thermostat devices requires re-adding them. Resetting is optional, unless asked for.

For the Nest Thermostat 2020 model with a mirror-finished display, removing it in the Google Home app and disconnecting from the account, including the Wi-Fi network, must be done before adding it back to the other home structure.

For the Nest Learning Thermostat and the Nest Thermostat E, resetting the Account Connection in their settings would remove them from the existing account and network. Then, go to your preferred structure and attempt to reconfigure it.

Please give those steps a whirl and let me know if you need more help.

Regards,
Mark
