Compatibility

 Can anyone tell me if this is compatible with the nest thermostat, it entered the letters below and it said it is not. Should I have entered the letters at the top?

You can use any of the Nest thermostats.

Try this wiring.

Green - G to G

White - W to W1 or W

Yellow - Y to Y1 or Y

Red - R to Rc or R (jumper to RC not needed)

The "or" is for the Google Nest Thermostat. 

If there is a spare wire, you will want to use it to make a C wire, if not then use the Nest Power Connector. This will help to stop any problems down the road
