can anyone confirm if my system is compatible? The walk through is say it is not and wondering is it is the AUX, S2, and S1 wires.

Hi Bjoshua,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. I'm sorry for the delay. Based on your wiring, apparently it's compatible with Nest Thermostats. However, about the S1 and S2 wires, you can just use them as your spare wires. Also, Nest Thermostats don't use jumper wires and based on the photo the yellow wire from AUX is also connected to the R terminal that is considered a jumper wire.

I would like to double check it, so could you please share the photo of the wires that are connected to your HVAC control board?

Best,

Jenelyn

Hi Jenelyn,

Sorry about the delayed response. When you say a picture of the HVAC control board, where exactly can I find that? Always how would I use the S1 and S2 wires as a spare? Do I connect them to anything?

Hi there,

Most HVAC systems can be located in your garage, basement, attic, or a special closet designated for this purpose. You can find the control board inside your HVAC unit. Leave the S1 and S2 wires disconnected.

Thanks,

Jenelyn
