Confused about W2 eire

• Gas forced air furnace and cooling. I have the model G4CVZ thermostat. My existing wires is R, W, Y , G, C, W2. There is a jumper between RC and R. My issue is there is no place to put the W2 wire on the Nest. Any help appreciated.

Hi Redbluff,

Thanks for reaching out. Based on the wiring that you have, the W2 wire is for 2nd stage heating. You can put that wire into the star connector of your Nest Thermostat. You can click on this link to learn more about this.

Edward sorry for the delay.  Had some minor surgery and have been out of pocket.   Your response was great and it made the installation a quick job.  With the help of the google home ap to help define what *OB does I had no further issues.  Thank you for following up.
