I moved into a new place with an existing thermostat that was already set up. The A/C was working just fine before I tried to connect it to my phone and was using the device manually to adjust the temp. Once I finished connecting the nest to my Google home app, the A/C was gone and it now only shows heat. I thought maybe I did it wrong so I disconnected and then reconnected, but the same thing happened. How do I fix it?

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
Can you share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring? Also, check that all the wires on your thermostat's base are properly seated and the tabs are pushed down to ensure that they are locked. Then, try restarting your thermostat by removing both batteries and leaving them disconnected for at least 2 minutes before plugging them back in and to its base.
