Connecting to nest thermostat

Good morning,

 

I am trying to connect to an existing nest thermostat installation but can’t locate the 7-digit entry key. I have followed the instruction to locate the key but when I go into the settings menu physically on the nest stat there is no sub menu titled nest app hence no KEY.

The nest stat is 10-wire yellow bubble and does not have a QR code or number printed on the back inside of the stat.

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community. Welcome! I´m happy to assist you with the setup process on your Nest Thermostat.

 

Normally we can find the option Nest App on the thermostat menu and get this QR code or the entry key. This requirement can also be found on the back of the display.

Let me ask what type of Nest Thermostat you tried to set up. You can share a picture with me. If you don't know exactly what it is.

 

Feel free to keep us posting, and definitely I will do my best to find an answer for you.

I have the same problem.  My Nest App is working on the wall.  But not on my phone.  It was before I changed internet companies.   I just need some body to help me with the app on my iphone.   Please someone help

  • Which type of thermostat do you have?
  • Did it connect to your Nest app, and for how long?
  • Are you getting any error messages during the setup?
