Cooling stuck at 79 degrees

Cooling, hot day, 93 degrees, dark mark on blue cool screen at 79 degrees, cool set at 72 degrees,unit blowing cool air but stays at 79 degrees, won’t go lower. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to reset settings? How do I reset, Thanks for the help.

Mine has been stuck at 82 and indoor temperature is 84. The best I have gotten yesterday was 81. This is awful!

Continuing issue. Went to Lowe’s and bought a Honeywell thermostat. Within a few hours the house was cool again. Nest is evil.
