I have separate heating and cooling system, and I see separate wire groups coming from different places. My current thermostat has Rc and Rh wire, I see Rc is for cooling and Rh is for heating. But the nest has only R wire. How do I connect them?

I have the same issue....independent heating & cooling.  I'm replacing a Honeywell thermostat which worked well until it broke.

I called NEST thermostat customer care.  The Google NEST 6 wire thermostat will NOT work with a dual transformer system.  I was told to use the Google NEST Learning thermostat which allows for dual transformer connection.  I also informed them that the compatibility checker needs to be upgraded to provide clearer selections.

Good luck!

Did the Google Nest Learning thermostat work for your separate heating and cooling systems?
