Dakin and Nest

Just bought my first house and it has a Ducted Daikin Heating & Cooling System. The model numbers are:

• Outdoor: RX24WMVJU9 (heatpump)
• Indoor: FDMQ24WVJU9 (inverter/air handler)
• Thermostat: brc1e73 (proprietary two wire)
• Wifi Module: AZAI6WSCDKA

My old house had a Nest Thermostat E. I liked the usage tracking, remote access, scheduling, & away/home geo fencing. I do not like the appearance of the Daikin Thermostat and the wifi features only allow for on/off, mode changes (heat/cool), and temperature. 

I called Daikin and they said I could upgrade to any of these:

2. One Touch Thermostat (https://daikinone.com/product/one-touch-thermostat)
3. Amana Brand Smart Thermostat (https://www.amana-hac.com/smart-thermostat)

I contacted the two dealers in my area. The quotes for any of them are around $1000. 

I am you all can help me with a nest solution.

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest in our Nest Thermostats. Could you send us a photo of how the thermostat wires are connected on your current thermostat? You may also use our Compatibility Checker to help you determine if a Nest thermostat is compatible with your heating and cooling system.
