Hi
My heatlink has been dead since 13th Feburary and a message of "H71" on my Google thermostat. There was no power outage or blown fuse.
I paid for an electrician to look at my electrics and found nothing wrong. I received an email from Google informing me Heat Link is off and disconnected, to contact Nest support. The phone number given does not work and I messaged the help centre and received no reply.
I have no heating for almost 2 weeks and have to use small portable heaters. Could someone please help in a replacement Heat Link?

Totaly useless Google are!
Waiting 2 weeks!!
Are you in the UK?
Where did you purchase the thermostat, and how old is the set?
Which phone number were you given, and have you tried the chat line?
You should have asked the electrician to overide the Heat Link to get a temporary connection for your heating. More to the point a good electrician would have advised that could have been done, and done it for you!!
Are you handy with a screwdriver?

I'm in Ireland
It was part of Electric Ireland deal for their customers about 3 maybe 4 years.
I was given (************) in the email which I phoned and answered automated message saying 076 numbers are not in service. I couldn't see any chat line I'll look for it .
I'm ok with a screwdriver.
They should have made some sort of manual override at least so when it goes at least I can manually turn on the heating.
I have a Google phone, cameras and speakers so had faith in them not to mention their stock as well lol.

Pity you are in Ireland, as in England the retailer is responsible for faulty items.
Which model do you have, if unsure upload a picture
From England

It's the 3rd generation I think.
Do staff from Google come into here to help and answer questions?
I might give that number a call but then I have to get international phone minutes. Thanks for help.

I forgot to say, upload a picture of the heat link connections under the cover. Only one screw at the bottom, but remember the terminals are live.
Goolgle mods come on here, but you think 2 weeks is bad, well double that before you get a result!

OK, you have a Combi boiler, so just the one set of connections.
First of all most important, isolate the power to the Heat Link and confirm dead at the Heat Link. Once confirmed dead, do the following.
Remove the wire from terminal number 3 and double up into Live terminal “L”.
Make sure the connection is tight when done before powering back up.
This will override the display, so you will have NO control for temperature.
You will have to operate the boiler via the isolator adjacent manually, and obviously because the Heat Link is dead there will be NO lights on the Heat Link. I must stress do NOT leave this running when you leave the house, as mentioned there is NO temperature control. You will have to manually operate the switch when the house gets warm enough, then turn of again when you are warm enough.
Does that make sense?
This will give you heating, but ONLY as temporary, and do NOT leave on when leaving the house. Ideally isolate via the adjacent switch or by turning of the supply to the heat Link.

Thanks again for taking the time.
I give it a try tomorrow after I try again to contact Google. If no reply I'll follow your instructions and maybe get something else later and bin the heat link.

Has this not been sorted yet?
Pity you are not closer, I would have repaired at cost 46p, failing that on ebay there are many people who repair for £25, BUT get a good one. Any doubt get in touch and I will let you know who to ask.
