I tried the suggestions to fix this problem previously on this forum and it’s not working! We can click it, but turning the dial doesn’t work and it’s stuck on heat and it’s 88 degrees. We reset the nest and charged it. All wires are attached correctly. Please help!

I had same issue. The optical sensor goes bad in them and they don't sell a new sensor. Online search shows this is a common problem. I called Google support. They had me walk through the reset sequence which didn't fix it. Then they told me my thermostat is bad now and I have to buy a new thermostat. I'm going with another brand now.
