I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest thermostat. I understand that you do not want the screen to turn on when it detects motion. No worries, help is here.
Here I have a couple of steps for you to disable the display, and you will also be able to set the current temperature to show:
- Open the Home app.
- Tap Favorites or Devices.
- Tap your thermostat, then go to Settings, then to thermostat, and finally go to Farsight.
- Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd generation): To turn Farsight on or off, tap the switch next to "Use Farsight."
- Tap the feature that you want Farsight to show when it's active. You can choose the temperature, a clock, or the weather.
