Disappointed

We are Very disappointed. We purchased approximately $2K in products.  Installation was a ‘challenge’. Thank God my SIL has a degree .  We have one Thermostat that will not hook up to the system. We spent DAYS, not just hours trying. Spent Hours on the phone. Numerous emails with ‘Advanced Tech Support’. Only to be told that this is a ‘known glitch’ with iOS!  No where, and I mean no where does Any of the literature state that there is a Known Problem connecting with iOS!  In fact one of the reasons we went with a Google Home System was because Google states that they Are compatible with iOS.  I have a dozen emails stating that the “problem has been sent to engineering” and that they are “working on it”, but in the meantime I am supposed to try installation with an Android product!  WTH. First of all why?  Why is this My problem. Why and where am I supposed to come up with an Android product?!  I don’t want any and I don’t have any, FOR A REASON. If your products are not compatible with iOS why do you state that they are?   I would NEVER have spent $2k on something that MIGHT work with the products I already have.  Then you make your problem My problem.  Buyer beware!

Hello WsFox,

I apologize for the late response, and I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you're having when trying to set up your Nest Thermostat using your iOS device.

I know it has been a while, but I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here. Our team is aware of the Nest app that freezes during setup for other iOS device users. If the Nest app is already up-to-date, ensure that the app's permissions are allowed. Then, open Settings > Safari > Cross-Site Tracking and disable the settings that allow cross-site tracking. Then, try to add your thermostat to the Nest app.

Let us know if you need more help.

Thanks,
Mark
