I have control of 3 NEST Thermostats. I wish to download the temperature data from the thermostats for the past fortnight. I have done this before and downloaded .csv files using Google takeout, When I tried over the past few days, I have been unable to download the data. This is what I did:
I logged into my account #
I typed takeout.google.com in the Google Chrome Browser on my PC
I selected Create New Export
I deselected everything and selected Nest
I deselected Nest options and selected Thermostats and clicked ok
I selected Next Step
I selected Send download link via email, Export once, and File type .zip
I clicked on Create Export
I immediately received an email saying “Your data is ready to download”
When I downloaded and extracted the takeout file, I find only archive_browser.html and no data
I must be doing something wrong.
How can I even check on the browser that these 3 thermostats are associated with this account?
I spent over 30 minutes on the phone to an adviser who I don't think was familiar with takeout.
Are there any takeout experts here who can point out the error of my ways?
