Hi, my thermostat 3rd generation fell from wall. Went blank, not connected . After trying all the usual, I took back off, then found video to get to battery. ( which I didn’t know it had). Had to take off white plate, carefully remove back plate. This has a ribbon attached so just half flip over to get to screws to remove plate so can see battery. The battery connection 2mm square had dislodged. So put it back. Now all working. Careful with screws used a Philips ooo, and magnet holder. Hope this helps.
