I have E298 error. 
Fresh batteries are installed. Why are the backup batteries not providing the needed power?

  • When did you first notice this issue?

  • Could you please share a picture of your thermostat's wiring?

  • Have you already tried any troubleshooting steps?

  • Can you check if your power source is sending power to your thermostat?

The compressor is overheating cutting off power.
