Hello everyone!
I have Google Nest thermostats at home (electric, forced air) and at my weekend house (gas, in-floor).
I have my primary house set up to ECO on fridays at 9pm, and back to COMFORT by sunday at 9pm.
And my secondary house to Comfort on fridays at 9.30pm, and to ECO on sundays at 8.30pm.
The thing is, they’re not anticipating my arrival. They are waiting for me to be Home to start heating, and I have Early On enabled.
I turned off Home/Away assistant because I don’t need them to know if I’m home in order to turn on the heat.
I have 2 kids with no mobile devices, my wife who doesn’t care for the Home app, and the cleaning lady. So, if the thermostat only uses MY location, the house will be cold whenever I’M not home, but there might be people there anyway.
Is there any solution to this?
thanks!

Hi ThaGomb,
Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.
I'd like to check a couple of things for us to further help you. Have you tried creating a temperature schedule? This can help if you're not using the Home/Away Assist on your thermostat. Your thermostat also uses its internal sensor to detect movement in your home to help when to switch to eco mode.
Also, when Early-On is enabled, your Nest thermostat automatically calculates how early it should turn on heating or cooling so your home will reach a scheduled temperature on time. To do this, your thermostat takes into account the weather, what it has learned about how quickly your home warms and cools, and how efficient your system is. It only calculates and remembers your previous temperature changes and how long your system reached the target temperature.
I hope it helps.
Best regards,
Ryan

Thanks for your response.
I have set up a temperature schedule, but it doesn’t go through if I’m not home. So Early On is not working…
