If your thermostat is registered to a Nest ID Account, you will have difficulty with using your Nest Thermostat. You can check to see if it is linked to an account, on the thermostat, wake it up, go to SETTINGS, then NEST APP. If is says “Connected” you need the smartphone with the app installed p. The account the thermostat is connected to is the only account that can manage the thermostat.
If the Nest Thermostat is not locked by a PIN, you can go into SETTINGS and disable ECO, HOME and AWAY, and set your desired temperature.
