Error completing migration to Google Home

This is incredibly annoying. I don’t want to migrate at all, but since I’m forced to, can you please make it work! I’ve followed instructions at least 6 times and get this same error message every time.

Thanks for bringing this up. We apologize for all the inconvenience. Let's see what's going on here. Before trying to migrate your account again, please follow the steps below:

 

  1. Check for any Android updates or iOS updates.
  2. Make sure the Nest app version is updated by uninstalling the Nest app.
  3. Restart your phone and reinstall the app.
  4. Make sure the email address is an active Google account or Gmail email address.
  5. And try to migrate the account. Open the Nest app and tap Migrate to a Google Account.
  6. Follow the in-app instructions.
