Extra base connector for Nest learning thermostat gen 3

Hi, we have just had a nest thermostat installed and it has been placed on wall and wired back to the heatlink box.  All good 😀

My question is whether I can buy a second base connector and use the thermostat wirelessly  on a stand when needed.  I’m in uk and I’m told the additional the nest temperature sensors are not available and do not work here.

any thoughts appreciated ?

That’s a pity, would allow the device to be moved around the house when needed and left on the wall when it wasnt
