I question the fairness (for lack of a better word) of Rush Hour Rewards. I try to participate, but during the Rush Hour my thermostat is set at an unbearable temperature. We do not keep our house super cold. We tend to keep it set around 76-77 degrees normally. For many people that would be considered very warm. During rush hours it gets set at 87 or 88. That's crazy to me. We know families that keep their normal temp in the 60s so I'm guessing their Rush hour gets set into the 70s which is what we normally keep our house at. I can see bumping ours up to 80 maybe, but 87 is close to being unhealthy and we are miserable and that forces me to override it. Doesn't that negate my "rewards" that I'm trying to earn once I override? I feel like the changes should be more on a sliding scale. If you keep your house super cool, then bump it up 10 degrees, if you are already keeping your house on the warmer side only bump it a few degrees. Am I the only one that feels this way?
