Fan is always running

Installed a new HVAC unit this summer & it ran fine.  When I switched from cooling to heat, the compressor came on.  The HVAC guy came out and changed the nest configuration to use a COMMON line.  Now with heat, the fan continues to run.  The HVAC guy says the issue is with Nest.  I am at version 1,3-10.  I have tried to provide enough information to point me in the right direction.

To try to compare - here is my other HVAC newly installed unit with a different NEST unit:

Hi scoutsteve,

Thanks for bringing this up here in the Google Nest community. Let's check this out. Based on the photos you sent to us, it's wired properly, but for the Nest thermostat to detect the new wire configuration, we need to reset it to factory default. Follow the steps below:

Go to Settings Nest settings icon and then select Restart  or Factory Reset . Your thermostat will ask you to confirm your choice. Once you've confirmed, your thermostat will take a few moments to restart or reset.

Let me know if you have other questions or concerns, we're happy to help.

Cheers,

Renz
