Hi there I would like to submit a feature request.
As a user with a single cooling/heating zone but with multiple nest sensors, I would like to have the ability to change the primary cooling or heating sensor to be dynamic. I would like for the sensor to offer “lowest sensor” or “highest” sensor as an option.
The problem statement is that in a single zone heating or cooling environment, some rooms are hotter or colder than others due to various environmental factors such as sunlight, vent location, size of room etc.
Example: Nest Default Sensor (Thermostat) resides in the living room, the largest room in the flat. Sensor A is in the office and Sensor B is in the bedroom. The temperature is set to 72. The nest thermostat will continue to chill the entire flat until the nest thermostat sensor reaches 72. Even if Sensor A is at 68 and Sensor B is at 66.
For the lowest dynamic setting, the thermostat would only continue to cool if none of the sensors fall below the desired temperature.
For the highest dynamic setting, the thermostat would only continue to heat until any of the sensors hit the desired thermostat.
This offers users with a single zone heat or cool to not over cool or over heat other rooms that may have hot or cold zones.
thanks for reading!
