I had a problem with last phone and couldn't transfer all my apps to my new phone, Nest was one of them. We have had the Nest thermostat for a couple years now. I love it. I love having the app on my phone. How can I get it back?

I see you're on Android, so simply open the Google Play Store, search for Nest and you can download it that way.
