The Home App says the Nest isn't connected to WiFi but the Thermostat says it is connected. I've updated the app, restated it, restarted my phone but nothing.

Hey Dysha,
Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about your Nest thermostat. I want to dig deeper into it.
A few questions — is this only happening on a specific mobile device or does this thermostat appear offline across all devices where a Google Home app is installed? Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the app? Also, what specific Nest thermostat is this? If you're unsure, please check out this guide: https://bit.ly/3noGw7F

It's the Thermostat E. The nest thermostat is all I have on the Google home app. The nest does say it's not connected to the server when I go past the WiFi but says it's connected to the WiFi. When I restart nest then it's on the app & working but doesn't stay that way for long.

This seems to be an extremely common problem they have no idea how to fix. All of the troubleshooting is the standard "well, of course I tried that" list. I can fix mine every time. I just have to be physically present at the thermostat so I can restart it. However, the entire point of this functionality and the app is so you don't have to be there. I spent about an hour on the phone this morning going through the list. The next step was going to be factory reset all 3 of my thermostats, after having tried with just one and failed. I drew the line there and told him I wasn't going to because that did not make sense. He kinda abandoned me before I got the one I reset reinstalled.
The thermostats are all working. If the problem seems to be with the Home app, perhaps the focus should be there.
