Google Home Thermostat Energy History not appearing after replacing 3rd gen nest thermostat

I replaced my 3rd Gen Nest Thermostat with another of the same model.  Everything works, but now I don't see Thermostat Energy History in the Google Home app.  It's been 2 weeks since I installed the new thermostat.  History in the nest app does appear, but of course nest thermostat history only shows prior days, while the google home app thermostat energy history shows usage of the current day.  Can someone help me resolve this?

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.

Could you please check if your Energy History is visible on your Nest Learning Thermostat? Here's how: go to your thermostat Quick View menu and choose Settings then look for History. Also, reinstall your Google Home app then select Month under Energy dashboard to check your thermostat Energy History.

Hello yes, I see history on the thermostat itself, but not within the google home app for the device.

Thanks for the update. Could you please try to log in to your Google Home account using a different device to check if you'll see your thermostat Energy History there?

I have the similar problem - can see history reports for all my thermostats on nest app, but on google home app even Energy icon is missing for all thermostats. How to start seeing thermostats history through google home? Thanks.

I’m sorry to hear that you all can't see your Nest Thermosat history on the Google Home app . Let’s sort this out. Can you try the steps in this guide?

1. Open the Home app.
2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
3. Tap Energy dashboard.
4. Select Day, Week or Month.

Same problem for me too. The History shows in the Nest app and on thermostats but not in the Google Home app. There is no icon to view it. I used to be able to see the icon.

I'm sorry for the delay. Is there an instance where you perform a hard restart (press and hold display for 20 seconds) on your Nest Thermostat? Also, did you experience any power loss before the issue occurred?

Hi Jenelyn,

I tried hard resetting both thermostats as you suggested and I still don't have the icon. No power outages but both thermostats were removed from the Nest app and factory reset. That's when the icon stopped appearing in the Google Home app. Before the removal and reset the icon was showing and working properly.
