Google Nest Heat during Rush Hour

Does anyone else have issues during rush hour where the heat kicks on instead of running AC? During the summer rush hours I have my hand up to the vent and they are hot and I can smell the furnace kicking on. Any idea what is happening? Hvac runs normal outside of rush hours.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Please provide your thermostat power readout.

Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Look for Technical Info.
4. Select Power.

Nest Thermostat 2020:

1. Open the Google Home app tap the thermostat tap Settings .
2. Select the Device Information.
3. Choose Technical Information.

Also, please check your thermostat Energy History. It might help you see what your thermostat was doing previously.
