Nest Thermostats help

My thermostats shuts the cooling off completely while we are not home.  The house gets up to 85 degrees.  I have adjusted all the preset temperatures to 69 comfort, 75 eco.   What can I do to get it to maintain temp while away?

Check you AC schedule under setting. You might’ve had auto schedule on & it learned some of your set temp & adjusted itself. You can edit or delete to your preference. Good luck.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Disabling smart features like Home/Away Assist, and Auto Schedule might help. 

 

Please take a look at this guide on how to disable smart features:  

 

Home/Away Assist

  1. Go to the thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Select Home/Away Assist then turn it off.

Auto Schedule

  1. Go to the thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Look for Nest Sense.
  3. Select Auto Schedule then turn it  off.

 

After disabling these features, monitor if the issue persists.

 

Also, check your calendar icon if there’s a schedule created, as it can also affect the behavior of your thermostat.
