Google Nest Learning Thermostat -- furnace clicks when not heating

I just installed a Nest Learning Thermostat (the one with the blue level).
Issue: When not heating, the furnace keeps clicking.

Background:
1. My system passed the compatibility test.
2. I have no C wire, just R and W.
3. I have radient baseboard heaters, no A/C. No multiple zones.
4. I got no error messages during the install -- the software thinks things are fine.
How can I fix the clicking? Thanks!

Baseboard heaters are, for the most part, not considered compatible with a nest system, as they require line level voltage, and nest is made for low voltage control systems. The lack of a c wire tells me that your system is not technically compatible.

Thanks! In my case they aren’t electric baseboard heaters—the HVAC is a boiler. Does that matter?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. To confirm, in what country are you located? Please provide the make and model of your heating system.

I appreciate your input, @jeffrb.

Best,

Jenelyn
