Google Nest Therm (2020) works fine at the therm., issue with Google Assistant commanding therm.

Installed this 2 weeks ago and it worked fine until tonight.  Now Google Assistant tells me it can't change from heat to AC.  WiFi connection is fine and it will set the heat temp, just not AC.

Alexa now allows me to change the temp but it needs me to set the mode first.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the assistance here, @MikeClark

@ctleea, I want to check if you can now control your Nest Thermostat using voice commands. Let me know if you are having an issue using both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Please send me a photo of the devices if you don't mind.

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

I am using Alexa to control the Google nest thermostat via voice.  The only minor issue is that Alexa has an 'enable feature to continue speaking without addressing Alexa again.  That doesn't work with the Google Thermostat.  If is ay, " Alexa, set the thermostat to heat and set it to 75 degrees", it will only set it to heat, then I must give a second command to set the temperature.  Minor inconvenience.

Hi ctleea,

Please reach out to Amazon Alexa about this feature, as the Nest Thermostat only supports these voice commands at the moment.
