My thermostat and my iPhone are on the same wifi network, the app has access to my location, and wifi and cellular are turned on. However, the Nest app says that it has not seen my iPhone for a few days. I have a Google case on this issue and I was told it would be escalated, but Google support apparently has no clue how to fix it and has not communicated with me for some time. I have tried using the thermostat's sensor for Home/Away Assist, but it says that I am away when I am sitting right in front of it less than 10 feet away. Google Nest support also has no idea why that occurs. So, I turned that off. I conclude that the thermostat, which I replaced soon after I purchased it for related reasons, is defective or that its firmware is faulty, though that means that others should have the same problem. So far, my experience is that this thermostat is no better than the traditional thermostat that I had before. None of the features I'd like to use seem to work. It was a complete waste of money.

I have a bunch of case numbers. The most recent one was 0-6284000033716. Before that, I had 7-7552000033529. Before that was 9-5677000033101. Before that was 6-4088000033293. I spent a lot of time on the phone and nothing worked. Everyone I spoke to opened a new case, but there has been no solution.
