Google Nest Thermostat reads higher Temp

Just installed 3 days ago. reads about 3 degrees higher then retired honeywell unit. Took another digital thermometer adjacent to compare. That reads lower by about 3 degrees as did the replaced thermostat. Setting the Nest at say 68 as previous unit was set, it is/was noticeably cooler in the house.  I scoured over numerous posts, seems like many excuses, ranging from "proper placement" to sunlight, to warm walls, etc, etc.

Very disappointed in performance to date.

Model Thermostat : 1.4

Software Ver.: 1.1-9

I’ll be anxious to hear if you get any worthwhile replies. I had my previous thermostat set to 68, and it was 68 throughout my house and other digital thermometers also read 68. Setting this nest learning thermostat at 68 it is unusually cold, reading 65 or 66 on my other digital thermometers.  Hopefully there is some kind of calibration routine, but I am not holding my breath.

Good Luck!
