I have a Goodman heat pump and a nest thermostat third GEN learning. The thermostat will not activate the o/b wire to activate the cooling mode of the heat pump.
We have replaced the thermostat and it is still an issue. I can activate the cooling mode manually by jumping wires no problem. Goodman defaults to heat and uses the "o" wire. So for some reason this thermostat will not activate correctly... even tried switching from o to b. No help. Resetting it no help.

Hey Revo39564,
Sorry for the delay and also about your experience with your Nest thermostat.
Upon checking on the email address associated with your Community profile, another replacement was already processed for you. Were you able to receive this second replacement already? If yes, how is it?
Best,

Hi connected a Honeywell thermostat and it worked great. I have my second replacement Google nest thermostat coming in. The problem is the Google Nest without activate the o/b port. The first Replacement I was sent was refurbished and suspect it had the same issue. I hope the next one is a new thermostat without this issue.

I am still waiting for the nest thermostat to be shipped out. Dealing with Google customer service has been a nightmare

Waiting for thermostat. Another refurbished unit. It appears that is all they send for warranty replacement. They said a nee thermostat would be sent. New refurbished I guess. Not happy. First new thermostat lasted 3 months

Hey there,
Sorry about that. Our replacement devices may be refurbished depending on device availability in your country however, they're thoroughly inspected to ensure they operate like new devices. They have been tested to make sure there are no mechanical or software issues.

Received my second refurbished unit and had a scratch and a dent in it. Guess they test it but don't look at it
