Google learning nest keeps presetting 76°

My first generation Google learning list keeps presetting at 76°.

I have turned off all modes including learning scheduling Eco etc.

I have tried locking it at 73° and it still keeps going to 76 and I have made sure home away mode is turned off.

I read a similar post exactly like mine but there was no help in it.

Same issue here.  4th generation nest.  It started not cooling at night, so I turned all of the "smart" features off and it's still not cooling at night.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand you're experiencing some persistent inconveniences with your Nest thermostat devices  are consistently resetting their target temperature to 76 degrees and not cooling at night, even after you've disabled all automatic modes like learning, schedules, and Eco. You've also tried manually locking the temperature at 73 degrees, but it still reverts to 76, and you've confirmed that Home/Away Assist is turned off. I know how difficult it is when a device doesn't work as expected. I'll be glad to help! To gather some more details, I'd like to ask the following questions:

  • When did you first notice this inconvenience?
  • When you lock the temperature at 73, how long does it typically take before it reverts to 76?
  • Do you see a power error code on your thermostat?

Please keep me posted. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Juan
