Google nest thermostat

Switched to new best Google thermostat from old one. I have electric heat pump. When I go to heat mode it doesn’t turn on compressor where as when I switch to cool mode it turns on compressor. I have wires hooked up like below pictures. Need help

Hello Kay1991,

 

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

It's most likely an incorrect wiring configuration during the setup that could cause this. To be sure, please check your thermostat's wiring info from your actual thermostat's Equipment settings. Also, check its wiring configuration on the Google Home app by going to its Settings > Thermostat > Wiring. You should see W, C, Y, G, R, and O/B (heat pump) wires for the wiring set up.
