H72 - Heat Link Died

Torpisoul
Community Member

My heatlink has completely died today. I boosted the hot water this morning but now the heatlink is completely off. The Nest itself shows an H72 error. I've checked the fuse of the 240v power supply, with no issue. I've also checked the main fuse box and again, no issue.

Seems to be common issue.

Device was installed 26 months ago by a local registered gas safe engineer, but not a "Nest Pro".

Hey @Torpisoul. Thanks for getting back to me. Google Nest has a partnership with BOXT and you can schedule an engineer visit with them. They'll replace your Heat Link free of charge. I'll send you a follow up email with more details about this. If you don't want to proceed with BOXT, let me know.

Hi @Torpisoul. Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about your Heat Link. Let's get this sorted for you. Does anything happen when you press the Nest button on it?

Could you also help me with some answers to these questions?

How long has your thermostat been installed for?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup?

Nothing happens. The heat link has no lights at all.

26 months.

Not an install related issue.

H72 was the error being shown.

No power cuts.

No work done recently.

N/A

Just the one zone.

We have an immersion tank, but is also not turning on. I think it may be possible that the Honeywell circuit board is what has died, although it is still receiving power.
