HVAC running outside but fan won’t auto start

I’ve just installed the Google Nest Thermostat but am having trouble with the fan and HVAC unit itself. For some reason the unit outside will kick on but no air will blow unless the fan is changed to manual mode for a certain amount of time.

Why isn’t there an option for the fan to auto start until a desired temperature is reached instead of these intervals? I don’t want to schedule when the fan will run, I just want the fan and HVAC unit to run when I’m changing the temperature. The HVAC unit could run and run to a temperature but the fan wouldn’t be blowing it inside.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here in the Google Nest Community.

We can manage the fan settings of your Nest Thermostat by checking this link. Also, these are the time interval available to choose and use at the moment.

Regards,

Ryan

I think my thermostat learned how my system behaved in started working correctly within a day or two. At first the fan would not auto start but no it does and I haven’t been having any issue.
