Has anyone successfully connected a Nest Thermostat to a Taco 506 two-wire Contoller ?

I’m trying to connect a Nest Thermostat (mirrored front type) to my Taco 506 two wire controller. I followed the directions using the power adapter with no luck. 

Any suggestions?
