Heat Doesn’t Start When actual temperature is below the set temperature

Why will the heat not kick on when it’s set to come on at 72 degrees and my house is 64 degrees. It keeps saying heating in two hours but it needs to heat now!

I’m new to the Nest thermostat but I believe that message means that it IS currently heating and will be at the target temp of 72 degrees in 2 hours.
