I installed my Nest Learning Thermostat back in May, right when I was needing the AC to be running, I installed, and my heat turned on, and thats when I realized I had a "B" wire, not an "O" wire. I made adjustments as necessary, and the AC worked perfect all summer.
Fast forward to now, when I'm starting to need heat, and while I don't think the AC is blowing, we are definitely not running heat at the moment. I assume its just a wiring/programming issue on my end.

Hi vaughnreed,
Thanks for posting. Is your system a heat pump system with auxiliary heat and emergency heat or a heat pump system with just two stages of heating? If you have the first option, then the black wire should go to the * terminal of your Nest Learning Thermostat base to work on your emergency heat. Also, check if your Nest Learning Thermostat heat pump orientation is set to B.
Keep us posted. We're happy to help.
Best,
Zoe
