Hi
came home from work to find heat link blank with small green flashing light. Give it a quick google. Said is was updating. Waited an hour still doing the same.
tried pulling power lead etc but still nothing
im trying to charge using another usb adapter.
Any advice appreciated

Hi , I pulled power from it for 24 hours. Then plugged in lead. Pressed and hold the stat until the unit flashed red and orange. Left on charge and came back to life next morning.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I followed these instructions from another thread on here and by the end it had repaired and was working fine:
1. Take the display off the base and squeeze it in your hands for about 10 seconds. It will turn off and back on again. Repeat this 2 more times.
2. Place it back on the stand, make sure it is plugged in, and wait for the thermostat to boot. It will try and reconnect at this point.
3. If it does not connect, go to the option Replace Heat Link and select it. It will ask you for a paring key, don't put it in just yet.
4. Press and hold the button on the Heat Link for 25 seconds, let go and do it one more time. Also take down the paring key, it is on the cover next to the screw that holds the cover on.
5. Put the paring key in on the display and see if it pairs after or still does not.

that said - I'm not sure why it happened, and it's not the first time... I've also already had to replace the thermostat itself twice due to faults. So I'm not entirely convinced about the efficacy of this product.
