I have a nest learning thermostat which was installed March 2020. Just recently I got a H72 error on the thermostat. I checked the heat link and see it is totally dead, no lights. Tried to reset but no joy.
Does anyone have any advice on how I sort this. Supply and installation was through Electric Ireland. Obviously I want to try and sort while the weather is mild :). Really annoyed this happened just outside the two year warranty.

Hi @Niamhco. I'm sorry to hear about your Heat Link. We'll get this sorted. Did you check if your breakers/switches are set to on? You can try turning them off and then back on.
Could you also help me with some answers to these questions?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup?

Hi Cristian. Answers as follows. Did not occur during installation, I have the system for two years. No power cuts. No work done on electrical/ heating system. One zone. Thank you. Appreciate any help you can provide. Niamh

Thanks Cristian. Is this covered under warranty. It is unclear from your email. Many thanks for the very prompt response

Also Cristian just to note I am in Ireland not the UK. Boxt appears to be UK

Hello again. My bad, I didn't notice you're from Ireland, I'll send you another email with the other shipping options. Your unit is out of warranty, but I'll make an exception this time.

Thanks Cristian. I guess I need an electrician to take the unit off the wall or can I do it and just leave the exposed wires behind???

Yes, I advise getting an electrician to do it. Just let me know which method you prefer and I'll elevate the case. Since it's an out of warranty replacement, our senior team will handle it. They'll give you more details about the process.

Thanks Cristian as much as I appreciate your help it will take me time to organise an electrician to remove the heat link. It would be easier if I could do it myself :). I will come back to you once that part is sorted. Also can a standard electrician rewire the new one or does it require specialist 'nest' knowledge.

No worries. Take your time. The wiring can be done by any electrician. They can use the wiring diagram listed here.
