Heat link is dead

Hi,  my heat link has died.  There power supply is fine but the thing is dead as a dodo. I am a gas registered heating engineer and fit these for a living so I know what I'm doing before you send me a list of things to check.  How can I get a new one please.?

Hi @Baino

If you tried the things like the power cycle and all best is to reach out to Google Nest Support.

I keep going through Google nest support and all it does is take me to the community showing me lots of other people's posts.  I need a new heart link but I don't know where to get one from. Thanks for the reply.

Hi @Baino

If you go through the process of the Nest support page, it eventually should give you the option to get in contact with support. Just be sure not to click any answers. 😉

If I choose: Thermostat and search for heat link defective and select not powering up I can press Next. It comes up with some suggestions, press Next again. Now I have some contact options.

I'm not sure how it happened as i tried so many avenues to get through to google, but i received an email from boxt inviting me to book them in. I did, they came yesterday and changed my heat link so i'm up and running again. on another note i am a heating engineer and fit these things for a living, one of my customers rang me yesterday to tell me her heating wasn't working. guess what, its the heat link so there is obviously something wrong with these things and i wont be fitting them any more until i am confident that they won't fail. Thanks for all the help

Thanks for all the information shared @Baino . It is good to hear you are up and running again. Like any electronic device unexpected behaviours can occur at any time. We are always happy to assist on all our support channels. Thank you for pitching in @RXShorty, always appreciated!

We do have a statement regarding some Heat Link units exhibiting this kind of behaviour, you can check it out here

Regardless of what is going on though, with any part of the thermostat, we are happy to assist on any of our support channels. Let me know if there is anything else I can try and assist with.
