Hi
I have two nests thermostats (one for upstairs and one for downstairs) with the links connected next to each other with the valves. They've both been installed for about 18 months but today i've noticed the downstairs one has stopped working. the thermostat had powered off and when i checked the link one had no lights (seemingly no power) and the other is working as expected. It appears to be very similar to the issue described here:
Because both heat links are powered from the same source and one is working i know its not an issue with fuses etc. I have tried pressing the big round button but there's no response. no lights show at all on the heat link. There has been no work on the heating or electrics, this has happened out of the blue.
Please can you help.

Whatever gives power to that thermostat is the issue. If there is power to stat ( 24 volts detected with volt meter) on R and C then stat is bad

Checked on the heat link with the multimeter: 240v ac across L and N. 0v DC across T1 and T2 going to the thermostat. Also no lights on the heat link at all. By comparison, the other heat link next to it, also 240v across L and N and about 12v DC (11.6) across T1 and T2, green light shows on heat link and thermostat is happy.
Heat link is dead, just need to know what i can do about it. Other posts suggest this is a fairly common issue.

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. I'll do my best to get this resolved for you. Can you help me with some answers to these questions?
How long has your thermostat been installed for?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup?

How many zones ( thermostats ) are present in the setup? 2 (There are upstairs and downstairs zones with a heating valve controlling each. We have two thermostat/heat links, one for each valve). The other one is working fine.
