Heat link works manual mode but not com thermostat.

New install. Single room UFH system no HW.  Not working automatically. Heat link and thermostat all fine, connected to each other, Wi-Fi ok,  no fault codes. Constant green light on heat link. So issue is the heat link clicks when thermostat calls for heat. But does not fire up the heating. In manual mode by pressing the button on the front of the heat link it turns on the heating fine. Checked terminals 5 and 6 and there is a live on 5 and 6 shows live when manually operating the front button on and off but not when thermostat calls for heat (even thought the heat link clicks). Any ideas welcome from the community.

I would assume by your description you have a wiring connection problem. Your description is proving the heat link is switching, and you can prove further by testing terminal 4, as this should be off if 6 is live. (4 & 6 switch opposite)

I would check your outgoing wiring, as that looks like your issue.

Many thanks, in manual mode voltage moves from 4 to 6, in auto (thermostats call) mode the “click” occurs however the terminals do not change and voltage remains on 4 and not 6. Do you think it could be an internal heat link issue.

I think I may have had a mental blank on my answer!!

The thermostat heating pump connections are 1-2-3

Hot water connections are 4-5-6

Your connections should be 2&3 for the pump if no hot water, do you have anything in those connections?

When you press the manual mode both relays will be activated, hence yours could be only working like that.

Star !  You and me both mental blank - can’t believe I connected live link and the heat wire to the hot water relay. Changed it over from 5-6 to 2-3 and all works as it should!. Thank you so much. Simple error in the end!. Like always !!!

Ah, the mental blank!! Sadly I Have those all day long!

Good to hear you are all up and running

Thanks for your help, @Frustratedddd. @Wicko, could you please send me a picture of the Heat Link wiring so I can check on it?
