Heat not turning on

jmm4019

I had two Nest Learning Thermostats installed yesterday. One is connected to a gas furnace, the other a heat pump.  The one connected to the gas furnace is working fine but the other does not seem to be triggering the heat.  It stayed at 61 all night while set at 68.  I have been on chat with google for two hours this morning and there is still no resolution. It does appear that warmer air is coming out since switching from the O to the B but the current temperature has still not moved.  Any thoughts? Do they just not work well with heat pumps?

Hey jmm4019,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry to hear about what's happening.

Let's further check this out by getting the case number provided to you via chat.

Also, Nest Thermostat works great with heat-pumps and mostly 24V HVAC systems.

We'll start from the case number and see what other factors we can check.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards,

Ryan
