I'm using the Google Home app, which is the most backwards app I've ever had to use in my entire life. I called Google last night and asked them to try and explain this Heat to 65 and Cool to 70 function, I have a Nest 4th Gen, and I'm using the Android App on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
I had a Google Nest Gen 2, I think, I still have it actually, and I had a schedule system setup where when I left for work my thermostat would let the temperature go up to 78 in my small apartment, I live in SW Texas, where the summers can get very hot. If it went higher than 78 it would cool it off back to 78. When I'd leave work, usually around 3:30 or so, the apartment would start to cool off back down to 65. This was extremely simple to do in the Nest App.
Now in the Google Home app, I am completely lost in how to set up a schedule like this. Why did they make it so backwards. Is there a way to switch it where it makes sense, Cool to 65 and heat to 70? Is there an alternate app I can use? I'm just completely lost on how this is supposed to work.
Just to clarify something, I've had a few head injuries, so sometimes it takes me a little bit to process or understand certain things, often things like new features that are introduced, software wise, can be very confusing for me, so that might be why I'm having such a hard time figuring this out.
