Heat won’t kick in

Ever since there was a Wi-Fi outage the heat won’t kick on. I’ve both restarted and reset the nest e and it didn’t help. I’ve even tried unplugging the Wi-Fi.

Hello Mommabear1225,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues turning on the heat with your Nest Thermostat, and I appreciate all the steps you've taken. Let's see what's going on.

Could you please share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring? When was the last time you changed the furnace's air filter? Note: A clogged air filter can cause an HVAC system to not activate. Also, please check its power readouts on your thermostat's Technical Info settings.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mark

Hey there,

I'm checking back in — how's it going? A power-related concern could cause your thermostat to lose its charge and stop controlling your system. If your thermostat is not turning on, try charging it for an hour using a USB charger. Also, you might have seen a wiring report or a message code. This report would help us identify what's going on, and if there is, please let me know so we can move forward.

Regards,
Mark
