Heat?

My Nest Thermostat is on Cool Mode, and yet it just turned the furnace on.  It only lasted a minute (current temp was 20 and Cool was set to 23.5).  Why would it suddenly change itself to Heat mode and then back?

A few questions to isolate: what type of Nest Thermostat and HVAC system do you have? Also, does anyone of your family members have access to your device?
