I just turned the heater on for the first time with my nest thermostat. It’s blowing cool air.

Hi JillAG,

I understand it's frustrating to turn on your heater for the first time and have it blow cool air. That's definitely not what you expect. Don't worry, we can troubleshoot this together and get your Nest thermostat heating your home in no time.

Have you checked the thermostat settings to make sure it's set to heat?

Can you tell me the labels of the wires currently connected to your Nest thermostat?

This help article can help you identify all the wiring in your Nest thermostat.

Keep me posted!

Regards,

Ivan
